The Story Behind This Artwork

Andrea spotted these beauties in the grocery store and brought them home for me to paint. I was immediately inspired by all the different reds! Straight out of the bag, the radishes were moist and shiny. In order to keep them that way (and preserve their rich colors), I had to continually spray them with water. Just a few minutes after I would spray them, they would go dull again! Still, it was well worth the effort to capture the radiant array of reds.
